An interesting concept here from Nike – pitting classic Dunk styles against each other on this new site: Dunk Wars First up it’s the black Supreme Dunk Low vs the Tiff Dunk Low. A member of each team, Tusks for the Supreme and Diamond Cutters for the Tiff, bakes a cake to represent their shoe. Then it’s down to us to decided which side we’re on and vote for a shoe. More battles will take place throughout March to find out which Dunk will reign (no pun intended) supreme.
Word on the street is that there is another nike x espo collabo happening behind the scenes, although they aren’t quite as nice as the original espo’s, they are nice non the less.From hypebeast-”Legendary artist ESPO is allegedly at it again with Nike as news and pictures have surfaced regarding a collaborative effort on a Nike Trainer Dunk Free. Taking cues from the revolutionary Air Force 2 done by ESPO back in 2004, the Trainer Dunk Free incorporates clear side panels and toebox.”

Honeyee has published a feature on some new Dunks released by Nike worn in an urban setting. While not as popular as SB Dunks, the Dunk is carving itself a market in today’s shoe game. While the low availability and overall hype of the SB Dunk turns some away from buying, the immediate availability and sharp new colorways of the Dunk are garnering more and more attention. Hong Kong was one of the 7 chosen cities for the Tier Zero City Series release of the Nike Dunk. Dressed in all black with accents of varsity royal, the shoe features a rich black leather upper, mesh side panel, suede swoosh and gum bottom. Only limited to 86 pairs worldwide, Hong Kong Exclusive, but Kix-Files has made a few pairs available for sale at their online shop. |
