Another first look from Boston_McGee at the ‘Michelangelo’ TMNT Dunk. Michelangelo is a character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) Universe. His bandanna is typically portrayed as orange (although all four Turtles originally wore red bandannas) and his weapons are two nunchaku.
Could these have been inspired by the Raph is cool but rude customs kingkelly came up with almost a year ago ?

Fancy yourself as a budding clothes designer? Want a pair of DS ‘Tiffany’ SBs? Then you need to check out the Diamond Supply Co. competition in the Hypebeast forums.
The skate company is holding a contest to see who can design the best, original (i.e. not copying an old design) t-shirt and yes, the prize is a DS pair of Tiffs, size 10.5 (pictured below).

An interesting concept here from Nike – pitting classic Dunk styles against each other on this new site: Dunk Wars
First up it’s the black Supreme Dunk Low vs the Tiff Dunk Low. A member of each team, Tusks for the Supreme and Diamond Cutters for the Tiff, bakes a cake to represent their shoe. Then it’s down to us to decided which side we’re on and vote for a shoe.
More battles will take place throughout March to find out which Dunk will reign (no pun intended) supreme.

This will be an ongoing project that will be going on weekly, with the eventual goal of compiling a database of market values for all SB Dunks. This will be updated every Monday.
Here’s how it works:
Every day I will look at finished auctions on eBay for a certain SB Dunk (authentic of course). I will be choosing one shoe a week, and maybe on occasion two if there aren’t that many auctions. I will note the final price (not including shipping) and enter it into a spreadsheet which will compile until the end of that seven day stretch. At the end of the seventh day, I will average out the prices for sizes 6-13, and we will have a general idea of what you will be looking at per size, per pair of shoes.
Example: In one week, 10 pairs of authentic Tiffany’s are sold on eBay. The post will show the overall average price for all ten (noting condition of the sold pair), as well as a break down of what each size sold for.
Tiffany’s:
• Date: Feb 20th - Feb 26th, 2008
• Market value (average): $455 DS / $405 VNDS
• Highest market value per size: Size 10, average: $475
• Lowest market value per size: Size 8.5, average: $410
Thus, we have the ‘market value’ of the Tiffany’s (Diamonds) at that time (this is an example).
This is a way to not only be more accurate when searching for a price check, but also a way to have a ballpark figure of what you will be paying when looking for a certain shoe.
Lastly, every so often I will go back and re record a shoe for a week, to see how the market value has increased, declined, or stayed the same. You may realize the market value will change, but that’s to be expected, and thus the challenge of this thread/idea.
I hope everyone can appreciate the thought behind this, and shoot out some ideas if you have any.

SBTG is back again, this time with a new High Custom, titled: SBTG x Lazy.
Hypebeast has received some new images, with the shoe featureing metallic gold and black, along with accents of purple along the swoosh and purple laces.

Remember the 80’s? Nike does.
Continuing with their 80’s inspired Dunks, (Skate or Dies! and 720’s) comes the Dunk SB High - Thrashin’. While the images here are from a sample listed on eBay, you can expect the final version to look identical to this model. The official color is listed as ‘wht/chlorine blue’, and features a blue to red gradient swoosh, as well as a spider web pattern near the heel. These are expected in Nike SB accounts in Summer of 2008′, with the release month unknown at this point.
