Yo how is this NOT a skate shoe? It’s vulcanized, loosely based off the III’s just because of the elephant print, and even has a Vision Street Wear-type “ollie pad” on the outside of the shoe. yeah someone did make a custom of it too i saw it. and yeah i dont know but maybe the producers just made it to comfort the skater not how it looks notice the ice cream board flip design on the side especially made for tricks ollies and everything if you notice skaters they have ripped shoes. but yeah i hope they reinforce that area and pull some vulc on the sole and make it comfortable for skaters. ide skate em but none the less they arent really attractive i thought they said they was gonn incorparate a jordan 3 design so i was hyped but no more:[

Seems a bit strange how people are talking about not wearing sb’s if you don’t skate, especially when the best sb releases are dunks, which - as the name suggests - are based around basketball shoes. i’m not saying i’m either a skater or a basketball player, but if skateboarders hadn’t taken basketball shoes like dunks and jordan 1’s out of their original context then sb’s might not exist. same goes for street culture and sneakerheads adopting SBs, (regardless of whether or not they skated) and inspiring some of the best collaborations out there.
back to the topic though, i’m not surprised that these shoes exist, basketball shoes have a good track record in the skateboarding market so it was only a matter of time before the jordan brand got in on the action, just a real shame they couldn’t come up with something better looking.
